Synopsis

In the thrilling climax to the Calek's Tale Trilogy, Wayne Faust weaves all the elements together from the first two books, and introduces new and fascinating characters, while fleshing out existing ones. The War is not only a physical battle between the people on the Mainland, who are desperate to rescue Calek and his twin brother John, against the people on the Island, most notably Hezekiah, the spiritual leader, who is desperate to hang onto his waning power. In the very center of the story is Calek, caught between these two opposing forces, trying to decide what is true and what is not, and hoping his recently discovered twin brother is really on his side. Wayne Faust has been a full-time comedy and music performer for over 45 years, performing in 40 states and overseas in England, Holland, Scotland, and Mexico. His music is heard all over the world. While on the road performing, he writes fiction, mostly character-driven, speculative tales. He's had over 50 short stories published in various places around the world.

Along with several other books and short story collections, "The Calek's Tale Trilogy" is his most impressive work, written over several years while on the road with his show, including a summer of shows on Mackinac Island, Michigan, which heavily influenced the sights and sounds of this story.
