Mistakes
A single misstep. A lifetime of consequences.
Alex Carter thought mistakes could be fixed-that time would smooth over the past and leave only lessons behind. But when an unexpected confrontation forces him to revisit the friendship he abandoned years ago, he realizes some wounds never truly heal.
Jared Ross has spent years carrying his own regrets, burying the truth beneath silence and resentment. But when Alex shows up, determined to mend what was broken, Jared is forced to confront the secrets he swore he'd never share.
As old scars resurface and long-buried truths come to light, both men must ask themselves-can redemption exist without forgiveness? And are some mistakes too permanent to undo?
A gripping novel about regret, reconciliation, and the weight of the past, Mistakes is a powerful exploration of how choices shape us-and how sometimes, the only way forward is through acceptance.

David Waters, a 67-year-old retired Navy veteran, has lived a life marked by dedication, bravery, and service to his country. Born in 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina, David grew up with an intense patriotism and a desire to serve. This calling led him to enlist in the United States Navy at 21.
After six years of honorable service, David was discharged from the Navy in 1984. His retirement did not mark the end of his contributions, however. David became an active member of veteran organizations, advocating for the rights and welfare of fellow veterans. He also dedicated time to mentoring young sailors and sharing his knowledge and experience.
Now, at 67, David is embarking on a new adventure: a writing career he has long dreamed of. With a passion for storytelling and a wealth of experiences to draw from, David is excited to share his stories with the world. His writing focuses on naval history, personal memoirs, and fictional tales inspired by his adventures at sea.
