Ken Schafer spent 10 years on active duty with the US Army and 4 years in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. A few years ago, I picked up rucking as a hobby. He also has a degree in Exercise Science and various credentials as a running coach. He trained personally with Dr. Nicholas Romanov, who developed the Pose Method of Running.
