Synopsis

Martin is a talented high school history teacher in his early forties. While enduring a loveless marriage and dealing with his mother's decline into dementia, he is involved in a bizarre motorway incident which threatens to completely turn his life upside down. The reader is transported a few years into the future on a perilous journey through a flawed criminal justice system. The protagonist faces professional, reputational and financial ruin. is a retired modern languages teacher who has been a Green Party councillor in Wirral since 2019. His writing is informed by his background in education and political activisim.

Over the past several years, he has written in a wide range of genres and for various purposes. His second novel, Green Necropolis, follows the fortunes of a family struggling to survive in a dystopian society faced with climate breakdown and an increasingly intrusive and authoritarian government.
