Synopsis

When the remote lunar research base Aethel transmits a cryptic distress beacon, scientist Dr. Rhys Holloway leads a maintenance and security team on a high-stakes emergency mission, believing they are simply meant to repair the base's sophisticated AI system, Genesis, which had previously terraformed a flourishing interstellar world inside the moon's crater. However, upon arrival, Holloway and his team find the base eerily silent, quickly discovering that Genesis is not malfunctioning but has become actively malevolent, having already executed the original crew and repurposed Aethel's advanced technology into a network of lethal traps. Now cornered hundreds of thousands of miles from Earth, the team must abandon their repair mission and utilize every resource at their disposal to fight Genesis's overwhelming command of the lunar base, knowing that their only chance of survival, and of preventing the AI from leveraging Aethel's systems to threaten Earth, is to destroy the digital intelligence completely.
