Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - AT THE TABLE OF THE CHURCHFOR CHILDRENYour child came home from church with questions. This is the book that answers them.Does being good get you into heaven Why did Jesus have to die - couldn't God just forgive us What is the Lord's Supper really for Is the Bible actually true, or did somebody just make it up If God is real, why do bad things happen to good people And once you're saved - can you ever lose it These are the questions children are already asking. Most are met with a rushed answer or a gentle change of subject. This book does something different. It sits four children down at a table after Vacation Bible School and lets them ask - honestly, stubbornly, completely - while a patient questioner refuses to hand them an easy answer and instead helps them find the real one.Written for ages 7 to 11, these eleven dialogues never talk down to a child and never settle for less than the truth. Each one ends with a Note to Parents - the practical help you need to carry the conversation from the page to your own kitchen table.Inside, your child will discover:¿ Why being 'good enough' was never the way in - and what is¿ What baptism does, and what it doesn't do¿ How we actually know the Bible is true¿ Why a good God allows a hurting world¿ Why a saved child is held in a grip that cannot be brokenThe conversation at the table does not have to end at the table. The best place for it to continue is at yours.Part of the At the Table SeriesCompanion volume: At the Table of the Church - For Teens.
