Stephen Van Olsen is the pen name of a writer working in the psychological crime tradition. His debut novel, The Hunter's Craft, introduced a first-person narrator whose voice was flat enough, declarative enough, and specific enough that early readers questioned whether the book was fiction at all. Ghost Hauler: Fifty Teeth continues that project: a long-haul trucker, a bag of teeth, a methodology that starts to come apart. Van Olsen does not give interviews, attend events, or confirm biographical details. Publication is through The Nikkie Group LLC. The work stands on its own.
