Synopsis

Living in the Light of Mystery: The God Question is a thoughtful exploration of faith, doubt, and the evolving search for meaning in a changing world.

As traditional religious structures decline and new forms of spirituality emerge, many people are left asking fundamental questions: What is the soul? What is God? Why do we long for meaning, and how do we make sense of that longing in a secular age?

Drawing from neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, and global spiritual traditions, Robert A. Kral examines the evolution of belief and the shifting role of religion in modern life. With clarity and compassion, he invites readers to reconsider experiences of awe, morality, and transcendence-not as illusions, but as meaningful signals pointing toward deeper understanding.

Written for seekers, skeptics, and thoughtful readers alike, this book offers a reflective and intellectually grounded companion for anyone navigating the space between belief and uncertainty.
