Book 2 in the Scorpion Void series, BURNING SIGNAL, throws Captain Vega and the Helios Three survivors into the aftermath of Nemea, Valence Station, and the first encounter with the thing now haunting Fleet networks. In the wake of an inquiry that could end her career, Vega is ordered to lead a task unit that hunts the Burning Signal where it runs hottest, from quarantined stations to civilian hubs that were never supposed to be part of the war.
As Vega and her team track missing civilians, ghost docks, and a signal that has learned to use human fear as a weapon, they are forced to choose what gets saved, what gets burned, and who has to stand in the doorway when no good options remain.
