Synopsis
RED BLINDERS is a near-future political techno-thriller about Kenneth Warzel, a burned-out Philadelphia professional whose private experiment with a pair of horse blinders is filmed, leaked, and engineered into viral meme. Unexpectedly, Warzel finds himself the figurehead of a ludditious revolt hell-bent on tearing down the techno-elite. As our accidental revolutionary struggles to navigate his fraught fame, he finds himself at the heart of a grand conspiracy: on one side a corrupt government in bed with industry, on the other an army of blinder-clad anarchists and their fleet of explosive-equipped drones.
Warzel is stuck: trapped in a job too good to quit, and drifting through a life that no longer feels like his own. Searching for meaning and overwhelmed by his underwhelming existence, he develops an obsession with horses, those simple, ancient, animals. But after an unfortunate experiment with a pair of horse blinders (if they work for horses, why not for me?), Warzel unwittingly goes viral online, becoming the symbol for revolution in a country simmering with social unrest.
