One Bond. Two Separate Worlds. One Incredible Journey to Recovery.
Safe at Home is the deeply moving opening installment of a four -part series
chronicling a lifelong path of neurodiversity and triumph. Although they were born
15 months apart, brothers Anthony and Brandon share an unbreakable bond,
yet they navigate entirely different realities. While big brother Anthony
steps into a typically developing world, Brandon's path takes a profoundly
challenging turn. Beginning their true intervention journey when
Brandon was only five years and four months. This groundbreaking
multimedia memoir captures the beautiful, complex intersection of their
early lives, exploring what happens when a family builds a bridge toward
autism recovery.
What sets this book apart is its interactive design. Through embedded QR
codes, readers don't just read about Brandon's healing journey-they
witness it unfold. The text provides a raw, honest look at the daily
dynamics of a family reshaping itself around neurodiversity, explicitly
contrasting Anthony's typical milestones with Brandon's clinical autism
symptoms. In these foundational early chapters, you will witness
Brandon trapped his own world, characterized by a loss of eye
contact, speech delays, sensory overloads, and repetitive behaviors.
But where the diagnosis ends, Brandon's fierce spirit and his family's
dedication begin. The corresponding video evidence allows you to see the
real-time progression of Brandon's interventions, dietary shifts, and
milestones. You will watch the protective love of big brother Anthony in
action, standing as a vital anchor as Brandon fights to find his footing and
reclaim his skills.
Before the series expands into the community, school years, and Brandon's
eventual independence at age twenty-three, this first volume focuses
entirely on the foundational battles won within the family walls. Written
from the intimate perspective of a grandparent, Safe at Home provides a
living blueprint of hope, showing what it truly means to navigate the early
years of autism safely at home.

Lynne's journey began when a strange twist of fate turned a healthy young grandmother's world completely upside down. In 2003, an automobile accident left her disabled with a debilitating back injury. Over time, the unrelenting pain in her back and legs grew intolerable. The intensity of the pain stripped away her sleep and made it impossible to sit or stand, prohibiting her from performing even the simplest daily tasks, like opening a door or picking up a light object. She quickly realized that her independence was slipping away.On the verge of giving up, Lynne found strength when her parents stepped in. They reassured her that with God's grace, things would get better, and urged her to keep fighting for the sake of her family. Propelled by their words, she began a mental and spiritual battle to push past her physical agony and focus her heart on God. She learned to persevere, endure, and press on for those she loved most: her son, her daughter-in-law, and her two young grandsons, Anthony and Brandon.Ironically, during this difficult season, her younger grandson, Brandon, began slipping away in his own way. He seemed oblivious to his surroundings and stopped meeting his developmental milestones. The once responsive, energetic, and precious little boy's temperament changed completely. Soon after, he was diagnosed with autism.Faced with her own physical limitations, Lynne embarked on a research journey, seeking better health and wellness for herself through dietary changes and learning to navigate life through the eyes of a disabled person. Ironically, through her own suffering, Lynne discovered that God was equipping her with the exact tools, empathy, and insights she needed to reach and help Brandon. What began as a personal tragedy ultimately became a divine quest, calling Lynne to support and guide other families navigating the very same plight.
