À propos de l'auteur
Walten Geary was born in County Wexford and spent more than twenty years working in criminal law and legal advocacy before turning to narrative nonfiction. His interest in the intersection of institutional failure and violent crime grew from years of observing, at close quarters, the gap between what justice systems claim to do and what they actually deliver to the most vulnerable people within their reach. He has written extensively on American and European criminal justice, with a particular focus on wrongful conviction, forensic reform, and the structural conditions that shape who receives the law's protection and who does not. Hunting Ground is his most comprehensive work to date on the American justice system's treatment of marginalised victims.
