Synopsis

Upon leaving court after his 4th divorce, Ian Connah learns that his financial manager has disappeared with his $3,000,000 retirement fund. In order to finance the quest to regain his money, Connah must return to the trade. He becomes a bodyguard for two female mob bosses, with whom he has a long history (each a rival for his affection). A million-dollar bounty has been placed on their heads, and a team of three professional assassins has taken the contract. Connah takes the women to a remote lodge in Maine's North Woods, where he must protect them from a killer who is afflicted with OCD, a ruthless former IRA terrorist, and a Mexican cartel hitman. The search for Harry Sandberg, the financial manager, will lead Connah from Maine to Boston, Boston to the Caribbean Islands, and to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. He will be faced with crooked lawyers, South American drug lords, and the largest and most violent of Brazil's criminal syndicates.

À propos de l'auteur

Vaughn C. Hardacker is a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam in 1968. He has published seven thriller novels. He has been a finalist for a Maine Literary Award three times, and his novel, THE WAR WITHIN, won second place in the 1989 International Literary Awards. He has degrees from Northern Maine Community College, the University of Maine, and the University of Southern New Hampshire. Has traveled extensively internationally and has visited or lived in most of the fifty United States. Before writing full-time, he worked in computer networking and high technology for over 40 years.
