Synopsis

In a village along the lakeshore where fishing is the lifeblood of the community, Jafali, once a wealthy fisherman, finds himself on a dangerous path. He steals a canoe and sells it to Dindi, his brother-in-law - a man accused of sleeping with women through magic.

Dindi's latest victim is Nasiketi, the chief's sister, who herself is caught in the hills with another woman's husband. She later marries Supuni, a man who had chased away his wife for being barren.

Meanwhile, Supuni's bitterness turns into obsession. Unable to accept that his former wife has found love with his friend, Sipokosi, he plots to kill him.
