Synopsis

In a world where marriage can change more than a man's last name, Steven Gregory has eleven days to decide exactly how much he is willing to give.

The newly enacted Household Reassignment Act has rewritten the rules of marriage. A bride now chooses her husband's complete marital name and declares it at the altar. He can refuse-but if he does, the marriage ends before it begins.

Stella Berkeley already knows what she will call Steven.

What she doesn't know is whether he will accept it.

For Stella, authority has never been the frightening part. Using it carelessly is. As the wedding approaches, their private dynamic deepens, forcing her to confront the difference between taking control and being trusted with it.

Steven has spent years fighting to make his own choices. He should hate the idea of surrendering his name, entering Stella's household, and discovering just how much he likes following her lead.

Instead, he keeps wanting more.

But with his mother fighting to preserve the identity she gave him, a country arguing over what men should be willing to surrender, and desires Steven is only beginning to understand, saying yes to Stella may mean answering a much harder question:

Can choosing to give up control be its own kind of freedom?

House of Her Name is a character-driven speculative romance about marriage, identity, family, consensual power exchange, and the complicated difference between being controlled and choosing to follow.
