Synopsis

Ian Bolton, a 64-year-old gardener with a bad knee and a quiet life, never expected his routine at Trentham Gardens to include a Regency-era ghost. But when a storm unearths an antique box containing a pair of French cufflinks and a hidden letter, he accidentally summons Augusta Halding-Kinsey, Duchess of Hartmore. She is a sharp-witted, historically accurate aristocrat who's been dead since 1837. Now, she's haunting his modern-day flat, appalled by his microwave dinners, his football obsession, and-worst of all-his indecently exposed calves.
Bound by the cufflinks, Augusta and Ian must uncover the truth behind her family's dark past, including their role in the Highland Clearances. With the help of a local historian, they race to solve the mystery so Augusta may rest in peace.
