Synopsis

CHARLIE Woodson is a park ranger for the state of California in Fortuna CA. After a near death experience on a rural county road, he finds himself forever changed, following his time in the afterlife with the angel called NEVAEH. As it turns out, the change in Charle isn't just mental and spiritual, but physical as well. For, in time, his daughter-to-come, ANGEL, proves to be angelic in her own right. As he watches her grow up and blossom into youth, his observations about her character and abilities translate into a theory: Endowment of angel DNA via himself and his intimacy with Nevaeh, then passed on through his own wife into their child. When Charlie shares the idea with her, Angel scoffs - until the day she unexpectedly ushers a man through an NDE herself! Shot while trying to be a hero in a convenience store robbery, DAN is introduced to Angel, who inexplicably leaves her own body as he leaves his, to guide him spiritually much as Nevaeh once guided Charlie. Interactions with Dan introduce Angel and Charlie to his friends, SIERRA the psychic, and CHELSEA the detective; opening a path to paranormal investigations revolving around the advent of Nevaeh herself, other angels, and - demons!

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Over the course of penning the Cross-Gate epic, A.F. Roberts was introduced to the YA supernatural genre, devouring novel after novel, both improving and inspiring his own writing.

On another occasion, while serving communion one day, an idea about a perceived parallel between the Lord's Supper and vampire lore occurred to Roberts. Eventually, the notion turned into the novel Blood Light.

B.L. is the only A.F.R. piece not to appear in this catalog as it is published through Christian Faith Publishing, the only remaining title under contract with a publishing house. Interestingly, one that is available here, EmErika (the Witch, Wolf, Vampire) is the prequel to Blood Light.

Over time, it was realized that the opportunities and minimized costs of self-publishing was more the way to go for this writer. Since the beginning, Roberts has expanded from the origin point of strictly Christian Fantasy, to Steamy Romance, Time Travel, Ghost Story, Wartime, and Angels.

Upon the completion of novels 8 & 9 (Angel Phyre & Younger Voices), there is planned a special anthology as number 10, featuring short stories from across the A.F.R. universe!
