Irina Nistor, PhD, is a writer, healthcare professional, and researcher whose work explores the intersections of illness, healing, identity, and resilience, illuminating the enduring strength of the human spirit.

Born in Romania and now living in Canada, she brings a perspective shaped by both cultures, blending scientific inquiry with deep compassion and reflection. Trained as a phenomenologist, she earned her PhD studying lived experience, seeking to understand how people make meaning through life's most challenging moments.

Throughout her career in healthcare and research, Irina has been privileged to learn from others' stories. Following her own journey as an ovarian cancer survivor, questions of healing, loss, hope, and transformation became deeply personal, inspiring a body of writing that invites readers to find connection within their own experiences.
