Synopsis

Rowan Mira has a problem. A six-foot, infuriatingly calm, Bureau-badge-wielding problem.

One routine spell gone sideways, and Crystal Hollow's most chaotic witch is magically tethered to Elias Crowe - a Magical Compliance investigator with sharp cheekbones, sharper instincts, and one deeply inconvenient superpower: he's immune to magic.

All magic. Including hers.

Now they can't get more than fifty feet apart - which would be so much easier if the bond weren't clearly rooting for them. Or if Elias would stop being so competent about everything, including her. Or if her cat would stop picking his side.

Breaking a spell that shouldn't exist, between a witch and the one man her magic can't touch, was never going to be simple. It gets a lot less simple when they find proof the bond wasn't an accident at all - that someone wanted them tethered.

As the pull between them gets harder to write off as just the spell talking, Rowan has to face the question she's been dodging since day one: is she trying to break this bond because she wants out - or because she's terrified of what she'll find if she stops trying?

A sparkling paranormal rom-com about magic gone wrong, proximity that won't quit, and the one man immune to everything except her.

À propos de l'auteur

M. Jayne LaDow wrote the Marchfield Series-laugh-out-loud workplace romances set in a fictional middle school-and the Tides of Truth mystery series, set in 1990s Virginia Beach. With five books published and more on the way, she has made a career of turning classroom chaos into romantic comedy gold. Before she wrote romance, she survived thirty-three years as a middle school English teacher - excellent training for writing characters who are dramatic, unpredictable, and occasionally covered in pie. She lives in Virginia Beach with her very patient husband, two brilliantly snarky adult children, three rescue cats, a toe-biting tortoise, and a bearded dragon who judges her life choices from his terrarium.
