Synopsis

This is the second book in the Black Leopard series. The principal character, Chár, who relates events, in the first book, has seen his village, Beyahola, in Southern Ethiopia, destroyed and his people massacred. He is rescued and taken to France as a refugee. There, he finds friendship, love and support as he attempts to come to terms with this strange culture. Just as the first book begins with a cataclysmic event, so it ends also, when Chár denounces at a Survival International presentation, precisely, what this 'Civilisation' has done to his home and people. This is the Event Horizon.

Black Leopard II picks up where Black Leopard I concludes. The last chapter of Black Leopard I is repeated as the opening for Black Leopard II. From this point on, Chár is branded a terrorist and even blamed for the events around the destruction of his village. He has to disappear, go into hiding. He finds shelter with three Ladies of the Night. It is then a question of dealing with the forces, financial and political that wish to eliminate him and wipe the slate clean of their original vicious, avaricious and murderous actions.
