Synopsis
Danah Brit is a bright young woman of mixed heritage soon to graduate from Columbia University with a degree in Political Science. From there, she would love to move to Washington D.C. and devote herself to Democratic politics.
While on holiday break in New Orleans, she walks into Curio, a tiny shop in downtown NOLA, and encounters a strange man who sells her a beautiful gold amulet. From that point, Danah's life immediately changes. Strange things start to happen. And then she discovers she's pregnant. How is that possible? she wonders.
Danah embarks on a long journey from New York City to the plains of Nebraska. Along the way she meets strangers, bums, holy people, and those who bless her. But the question Danah cannot answer: Why? Why is she pregnant, and what is in store for her coming baby? The answers are not what you think. The ending is not what you think. Prepare yourself for what's to come.
