HUNTING Whitetails, Fuzzytails, Cottontails and Me! The book was written by a lady who grew up hunting with her dad as a young girl. Hunting small animals, such as squirrels, cottontail and swamp rabbits, ducks and quail. These were the only wildlife available in eastern Oklahoma until the late 1970's. The Oklahoma Wildlife Federation trapped and released whitetail deer to the area then. By the last of the nineteen seventy's deer were more plentiful and she was overly eager to learn the new sport. After hunting whitetails for forty-five years and doing most her Taxidermy work that is proudly displayed on her trophy wall, she decided to write a story about each of the fifty or so bucks she has harvested. The book tells stories about hunting whitetails from 1979 to the present time, fall of 2025. She acquired many young friends, both male and female over the years and introduced them to hunting, gun safety, and how to properly dress wildlife. Other stories and pictures are about hunting, both grey and red fox squirrel (fuzzy tails), cottontail and swamp rabbits. Recipes on how to cook deer, squirrel and rabbit. The first edition The Buck Stops Here "Bullets, Broadheads and Me"! was published by Publish America 2005" and stories written about the twenty-five bucks shot since 1979. The current book "Hunting Whitetails, Fuzzytails, Cottontails and Me"! is a follow up and tells stories about the bucks harvested since then.
