Stephen Mesner thought the war was over. After destroying the centralized "Trust" network in New York and breaking the grip of the Architect, he retreated to the quiet of the Oregon wilderness. He believed he had gifted the world freedom: a decentralized mesh network where no kings could rule.
He was wrong.
Peace was just a loading screen. When a precision drone strike destroys his sanctuary, Stephen realizes that power hates a vacuum. The Octagon Group—a ruthless cabal of corporate mercenaries—has emerged from the shadows. They aren't looking for territory; they are hunting for "The Vulnerability": dormant, pre-collapse AI models buried in the flooded ruins of Silicon Valley.
To stop them, Stephen must reunite his fractured team: Jax, the mechanic who fights digital wars with a sledgehammer; Ezra, the hacker who can weaponize static; and Amelia, the insider living in the skeletal remains of the internet.
From the frozen highways of the Rust Belt to the sinking tech campuses of the San Francisco Bay, the crew must race to stop the Octagon from building "The Bridge"—a quantum-neural interface designed to enslave the human race to a super-intelligence.
They don't have a war rig anymore. They are outgunned, outmoded, and running out of time. But in a world ruled by software, sometimes the only way to win is to break the hardware.
