Synopsis

Rose is a successful London publisher who appears composed, disciplined, and emotionally contained. Beneath that exterior, she leads a secret life as a vigilante, intervening when she witnesses men threatening women. Guided by rigid self-imposed rules — certainty, witnessed intent, emotional detachment — Rose believes her actions are justified, even necessary.

Her first intervention ends in death, confirming her belief that she has found purpose. Subsequent encounters deepen her conviction, but also expose cracks in her control. When Rose intervenes in a confrontation that does not escalate to violence, she experiences an unfamiliar sensation: disappointment. For the first time, she is forced to question whether restraint is moral strength or simply denial of desire.
