Cundī, also known as Cundī Buddhamātṛ, is revered as a deity for fertility, safe childbirth, and family harmony, as she is considered the mother who gives birth to countless Buddhas.
Cundī is deeply connected to the founding of Mount Koya by Kōbō Daishi Kūkai.
