Synopsis

The Metro — Tragedy — Heartbreak:
West Germany, 1988.
Private First-Class Eddie Cooper is nineteen years old, far from Los Angeles, and stationed on “The Rock,” a cold U.S. Army post surrounded by fog, pine trees, and restless soldiers trying to drink their way through youth, loneliness, and boredom.
At night, Eddie escapes into the underground club scene — The Metro, The Flash, crowded dance floors, cigarette smoke, dark music, black coats, and friendships forged under neon lights. There are road trips, festivals, stolen moments by the lake, and the reckless freedom of being young enough to believe every feeling might last forever.
Then love begins to fracture him.
First comes G — beautiful, mysterious, and devastatingly complicated. Then Tanja, whose confidence, honesty, and hunger for a larger life pull Eddie out of himself before teaching him how fragile certainty can be. And later Danielle, who arrives when Eddie has learned to protect himself so well that even love begins to feel temporary.
Set against the backdrop of late-Cold-War Germany, the fall of the Berlin Wall, Army barracks, Goth clubs, border patrols, and the shadow of Desert Storm, The Metro — Tragedy — Heartbreak is a raw coming-of-age story about love, betrayal, friendship, survival, and the people who leave marks long after they leave your life.
Some memories fade.
Some songs never do.
