What Do These Stones Mean?
In Joshua 4, God commanded His people to pull twelve stones from the bottom of the Jordan River and set them up as a memorial — a permanent reminder of the miraculous move He had made on their behalf. He did not want the miracle to fade. He wanted every generation who asked "What do these stones mean?" to hear what God did.
Remember the Move is a 28-day devotional built directly from the book of the same name, designed to walk you through one of the most powerful narratives in the Bible: Israel's crossing of the Jordan River, the stones at Gilgal, and what it means to build a life anchored in the testimony of God's faithfulness.
Each Day Includes Four Layers:
Scripture — A focused passage that grounds the entire day
Discussion — A devotional reflection connecting ancient text to present-day life
Application Questions — Honest, reflective prompts for journaling or group conversation
Bible Lab — An advanced tri-part contextual study covering Grammatical, Literary, and Historical context for those ready to go deeper
Over 28 Days You Will Explore:
Why God commanded a memorial and what it means for you today
The dangerous comfort of Goshen — and how to recognize when you've outgrown your season
What it means that the priests stepped into the flooded Jordan before the waters parted
The Valley of Achor — and how God turns the site of your greatest failure into a door of hope
Caleb's mountain faith at 85 years old — and why your promise hasn't expired
The rejected stone that became the cornerstone — and what that means for your story
How to set up your own stones so the next generation inherits your testimony
Whether you are in a wilderness season, standing at the edge of a promise, recovering from a detour, or simply hungry for the Word — Remember the Move will remind you that the God who moved at the Red Sea is still moving right now.
Set up your stones. The next generation needs to hear what God did.
