Synopsis

Carry on Smartly: The Seawall Remembers is a book of 6 short stories. From the dusty roads of Georgetown to the silent archive of light above the Caribbean Sea, Carry On Smartly is a collection about the strangers who save us and the pasts we cannot stop carrying. A young woman buries her father and discovers that some angels wear charcoal suits. A teenager faces her grandmother with a secret too large to carry alone — and finds she does not have to. A man waits eight years on a bridge railing for a wife who is never coming back, and one careless question changes everything. And a Barbadian archivist sells his future to witness the past, locking eyes with an ancestor across two centuries of silence.
It's a novella or what people call a bus or plane ride book of 56 pages.
