Synopsis

This book is an anthology of essays from various brothers, examining and refuting theonomy. There is a growing clamor to brings “God’s Law” to bear in nations, claiming that not doing so leaves man “a law unto himself.” This sounds good, but our charge as disciples of the risen Lord is to rightly understand and apply the teachings of the Bible; not to do what “sounds good” to us. Many of the advocates of theonomy and theonomic reconstruction rely on what revered theologians from the Reformation said. As with proper understanding of Scripture, proper understanding of any literature requires a grasp of the context of the passage.
