Synopsis

One day Jesus came to a crowd of people and said to them, “Follow me, and we will see the kingdom of heaven.” And under that promise, many people followed him, encouraged that they were with the great Messiah and that they would soon see the promised land.
Then Jesus took his step. And the people followed him. They didn’t understand his journey, but they went with enthusiasm. As time and distance grew, some began to falter, and little by little, mile by mile, and time by time, one by one they either left him or perished. “Here it is,” Jesus said to himself, and he turned to see how many had prevailed; and Jesus noticed that there wasn’t one left.
With sorrow in his heart, he then turned and opened the gates of heaven, and when he looked ahead, there they were: “How long you took, Jesus!”
