Synopsis
Toby Tyler is ten years old and tired of being told what to do, so when the circus comes to town and a smooth-talking candy-butcher offers him a place, he climbs aboard the wagons in the night.
What he finds is not the paradise he pictured - the hours are long, the men are hard, and home tugs at him across the miles - but he finds, too, a friend in a little monkey named Mr. Stubbs.
