Synopsis

A choreographer who reads bodies for a living. A ballerina who died in her own shoes. And a company full of people with something to hide.

When cheerful choreographer Eddie Navarro returns to his hometown of Lakeview, he expects the usual backstage drama. What he doesn't expect is a string of accidents so strange they've started to feel deliberate. The company whispers it's a curse. Eddie calls it a pattern.

Then, on opening night, prima ballerina Celeste Varga slips on a stage she'd danced a thousand times before.

The police call it a tragic accident. Eddie knows that no dancer dies like that by chance.

Surrounded by a jealous soloist, a scorned lover, a benefactor with wandering hands, and an artistic director whose accounts don't add up — Eddie must read what no one else is willing to see.

Dead En Pointe is a slow-burn cozy mystery set in a crumbling Victorian opera house on the fog-wrapped shores of Lakeview, where old wounds make for the most dangerous kind of stage.

Fans of Agatha Christie, Alexander McCall Smith, and Laura Childs will love this atmospheric, character-driven cozy mystery offering.
