Synopsis

🐙 A Heist. A Trophy. An Octopus?!

Perfect for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Terrible Two, and Spy School!

Junior High is already full of awkward moments, but for Cam, it’s also full of trouble. And this spring, the trouble has eight legs, a squishy center, and an attitude problem.

When Cam finds out the class prize for the school’s big fundraising competition is a giant, purple OCTOPUS, he has to win it. The only problem? Cam couldn’t sell water in a desert, let alone cookies or coupon books.

So what’s the next best option? Steal the octopus, of course.

With a ragtag crew of friends, a half-baked plan, and impromptu backup strategies, Cam sets out on the most ridiculous, over-the-top, laugh-out-loud heist his school has ever seen. But stealing a squidgy sea creature isn’t as easy as it sounds…

Inspired by true events (kinda), The Time We Stole the Octopus is a hilarious middle grade debut filled with friendship, fast-talking schemes, and just enough chaos to keep young readers turning the page.
