Vidya normally refers to a Mantra or tradition of a female deity. Mantras of the Mother Goddess are called Vidyas. In my previous book " Maa Kali - The Adya", detailed explanation is given about Maa Kali or Shyama. Maa Kali is abstract, unperceivable, infinite. She is the form of the Mother who prevails as a will of Lord Shiva. The existence has yet to come. She is the first Spanda or throb of Lord Shiva. As not yet manifested in a perceivable form, she does not fall in the domain of our cognizable perceptions. So, she is Shyama. As the first Spanda of Lord Shiva, she is Adya.
This book deals with the second Vidya known as Tara. Tara is the Primal Sound Principle.
