When I read that large and well diversified corporation had been placed under liquidation, I was not surprised. I had anticipated problems this business ten years earlier, at the time everyone in Zambia was fascinated by the entrepreneurial shrewdness of its founders. My observation though, was that the expansion was not motivated by strong business pillars among them accountability, transparency, self-management, good business management and foresight.
