Mara
As a psych nurse at Wellard Asylum she has seen a lot in her day. She has always been the good girl, slowly climbing up the ladder of employment by following the rules. By having such a career driven focus Mara has never had any time for romance…except for longing looks and secret closet moments with her sisters alluring boyfriend. There is something inviting and mysterious about him. Will the taboo taste of his body become too much to deny? When Maras sister ends up killed and the evidence points to none other than her sisters boyfriend , Mara has to learn to break some rules to get him free from a prison she knows all too well; The asylum she works for.
Jinx
There are dark secrets surrounding Jinx. His dead girlfriend is but one of them. The obsession to claim Mara for his own has grown so much more than those few forbidden moments. Jinx has become a mask of himself, succumbing to his need to break all the rules. It’s amusing to him watching Mara desperately cling to answers that she can clearly see the truth in. Her denial is his salvation. Can he escape his addiction to the one thing holding the key to his true freedom…or will she be his permanent damnation?
