Musings recounts my theological and spiritual journey from a teenager to the present. The late 1960s was a challenging time for someone nurtured in fundamentalist Baptist culture and a family that encouraged inquisitiveness and learning. These conflicting influences were amplified by college, seminary, and graduate studies. Extended contact (almost 20 years) with other followers of Jesus outside my home culture, accentuated this face: elements of my life remained disjointed. Science and biblical faith, biblical authority, identifying the details of the Kingdom of God, man's purpose in creation, and how can followers of Jesus successfully adapt to the challenges of ministering in the 21st century are some of the issues I worked to resolve. Musings is what I want my grandchildren to know of my processing and conclusions (to date) on theses matters. You are welcome to explore them with us, if you wish.
