In Alaska, where the fish go so do the people. These Canneries ended up being self contained towns through out the rural Islands and bays. In the modern day these once humming small towns with vibrant communities, now just laying barren and scattered torn and broken by the weather. A reminder of times that have long since past.
Ive spent the last 20 years of my life traveling and working in these Canneries. And have had the unique view point of watching them disappear beneath the waves.
