Synopsis
When Michael Jenner was awoken to repair a large meteor hole in the spaceship they were travelling home in, little did he know that he would not be allowed back into cryosleep without the signed order of an officer. Unfortunately, they were all dead due to the meteor strike. He had the choice of staying awake for over a year on his own or passing enough exams to become an officer. He chose the latter. By the time he went into cryosleep, he was the new first officer, quite a young first officer. The Off World Mining corporation chose to bump him up to captain and send him back out to collect the dead who were floating in space and more of the meteorites. They were not actually meteorite but escape pods from an alien vessel. That was the start of the change for Earth. They had long since stopped the fighting and no longer had weapons but they did still try to make a fast buck. Another mining corporation collected a meteorite and tried to open it close to the space dock. The alien inside only knew one thing, how to kill. When Michael returned with another three pods, the docking station was in ruins. Only now did he find out the truth and it was down to him to sort it and get rid of the alien running amok on the docking station.
