I believe there are four aspects to being human: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. When they are in balance life is easy, it flows and it feels great. Unfortunately, we are not often in true balance as the busyness of life combines with our brain’s function to make us think we need to focus on just one or two aspects. This book shows you two ways to bring yourself into balance and stay there; two ways to move into being the best you.
The first approach offers you 50 steps that at first sight appear to focus on your mental aspect. I offer some comments on a topic and ask you to consider it as you read it. You are then asked to be still, silent and reflect upon a few questions. This quietness calms the body, mind and emotions and allows your inner voice to be heard.
The second approach is a course of meditation that starts with grounding you in the present by asking you to feel your senses - all of them. It asks you to just observe yourself and others people without judgement and thought. Then you are asked to sit in silence and learn to bring your focus, your awareness on a range of anchors, training you to stop or at least be aware of and reduce the chatter in your mind. Life becomes clearer and richer as your senses become sharper. You are more able to be in charge of your responses to whatever comes into your life. You react less, you switch off your automatic pilot and become fully in charge of yourself.
The very fact that you have this book in your hand means you wish to move inwards so you can become closer to your true self.
