Synopsis

This memoir covers some of my U.S. Military experiences. I had no expectation of ever being drafted. I certainly had no idea I would become a helicopter pilot or fly Dustoff. Both events have proven to me that it is not what happens to you in life but rather how you deal with it. The draft and my military service was life altering. It helped shape how I think, how I approach life and how I have tried to live each day. I am thankful and forever grateful for the military interruption to my young life.
