Synopsis
A routine voyage aboard the Kon-Tiki II, an interstellar heavy transport ship, turns into an odyssey that takes its crew and Priya Sharma, a navigating officer, into regions of reality beyond the point of no return.
Humanity has not destroyed itself and has slowly expanded into the Solar System and beyond. One phase of this expansion sees enormous spaceships where the interaction between human and artificial intelligence allows for superluminal speeds. It is precisely these interstellar ships, capable of transporting enormous loads such as kilometer-long orbital stations or massive industrial complexes, that are the backbone of humanity scattered among the stars.
One of these spaceships will find itself, despite itself, on a hallucinatory journey far beyond the scientific and technological horizons of the highly advanced society to which it belongs. The mysterious tunnel it has stumbled into has no recognizable way out, and the wanderings of those trapped inside could be endless.
