Synopsis

Romance Is Dead brings you into the mind of a man on the brink of madness as he seeks to regain faith in love and himself.

Aspiring writer Preston Reed didn't handle his divorce very well, even though he had spent the majority of his twenties eagerly waiting for it to happen. His failure as a husband, disappointment as a father, and insecurities as a writer cause him to realize that he has done very little to succeed in life, and he finds himself fighting a losing battle with depression and alcoholism. In an effort to make something of his life, he often finds himself staring at a blank page, a bottle of half-drunk whiskey in one hand and a dead cigarette in the other, mindlessly waiting for inspiration to not only spark the novel that'll launch his career but to save himself from the hole he can't seem to escape.
