Cody Hand is first and foremost a husband and father. He is also a leader who has spent more than two decades navigating the complexities of Organizations from healthcare to politics, learning firsthand what it takes to build, nurture, and sometimes reshape a team. A practicing attorney, public speaking coach, lobbyist, and documentary producer, Cody brings a rare breadth of experience to the conversation about leadership. Through his work he helps professionals find and refine their voices, and through his nonprofit work, he extends that mission to veterans transitioning into civilian careers.Cody lives in North Carolina, where the lessons in this book continue to be tested, refined, and lived out every day.

The promotion came with a title - but no instructions. Most new leaders are handed teams and goals without a roadmap, left to learn through gaffes, guesswork, and the kind of late-night failures nobody warned them about. Feed Your Team is the book Cody Hand wishes he'd had on day one - a practical, story-driven guide for first-time managers, newly promoted executives, and the leaders who promote them.It started with a homemade lasagna. Always intentionally.Inside, you'll learn how to: Shift from doer of things to leader of peopleDiagnose what your team is actually hungry for - and feed accordinglyLead a five-generation team without losing your mindRun a 30-minute 1-on-1 that builds trust instead of awkward silenceGive feedback that lands, receive feedback without shutting down, and let someone go with dignityDrawn from two decades across healthcare, politics, and the practice of law - and from the failures Cody is refreshingly candid about - Feed Your Team delivers the scripts, frameworks, and hard-won lessons you can use Monday morning. You don't have to figure this out alone.
