Caleb Rivers was supposed to die in a quiet campus crosswalk.
Instead, something pulled him back.
After surviving an accident that should have ended his life, Caleb begins to notice things he can't explain. Shadows move when no one else is looking. Certain people leave rooms feeling colder and heavier than before. And sometimes, when he looks into someone's eyes, he feels a hollow darkness staring back.
As the strange awareness inside him grows stronger, Caleb discovers a terrifying truth: creatures known as Hollowborn walk among the living, hiding behind ordinary faces while feeding on fear, despair, and shame. Most people never notice them.
