Clara’s bakery, The Sweet Escape, is her pride and joy. Captain Comet, the city's celebrated superhero, is her sworn enemy. He may save the day, but his "rescues" always seem to end with a monorail through her front window or a city-wide power outage that ruins a perfect batch of brioche. Her viral rants about his incompetence are legendary. If she never saw the caped calamity again, it would be too soon.
Enter Leo Vance. He's a sweet, clumsy astrophysicist with a love for old sci-fi movies and an adorable habit of ordering the bluest cupcake on the menu. He's also the only person who will listen to Clara's tirades against Captain Comet with a sympathetic ear.
