Dusty and Ronnie have been childhood friends for years. Having grown up in a small town country trailer park, most of the people in town have always looked down upon them. And known for their mischief, people don’t see them for the good boys they actually are.

At the end of the week, Ronnie will leave to join the army. That just leaves seven days to say goodbye without saying goodbye. But before that happens they find a new friend in fourteen year old Tim, who lives across the street from Dusty. He becomes the little brother neither has and the little brother Dusty will need. Tim, though, needs both of them just as much.

As the week moves along, Ronnie and Dusty uncover one of the town’s best kept secrets. Determined to be remembered by the people in town, Ronnie has a surprise planned for after when he’s gone. Their small town will never be the same. And neither will Dusty who in truth is a good son, a best friend, a boy a girl could fall in love with, and a small town hero. Not for a minute were he and Ronnie ever trash.
