Synopsis
The year is 1972. The Age of Calamity.
Monique, an insurance agent, is sent from her home in Japan to Vietnam. There, she finds her new job – insuring the city of Da Nang against attacks from Calamities: massive, mutated monsters. But Monique didn’t go into a warzone for a job. She was promised that someone in Vietnam knows what really happened to her father, who disappeared at sea eighteen years ago.
Out in the Philippines, Mickey has been having a rough summer. His parents are getting divorced, and he has to stay with his uncle Tito. Still, the sun, sand, and a girl named Taylor make Mickey’s troubles seem far away. That is, until Mickey starts hearing voices coming from the sea. Having nightmares of people going missing – nightmares that are coming true.
