This fictional story follows six friends from Chicago to the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco during the first six months of 1969. The author made the same trip with a party of six from Brooklyn, N.Y. during that time period in 1969. Many of his own experiences influenced this telling.
It was a magical time that touched the lives of everyone involved. Expectations and fantasies abounded, pushing reality aside briefly. It was a time of Freedom, Love and Peace for many of those who reached out and embraced it.
It was a time of sharing. The 'beautiful people' of the hippie communities accepted complete strangers with openness and without bias.
