Welcome to the Albigensian Crusades.
In the city of Potters Field a rumour has taken wing and flown -- the relics of St Mary Magdalene are to be found in the far-off land of Gallia. But this is a country currently at war, as the King, the Christian Church and the Knights of the Temple, jealous of the Languedoc's wealth, join forces to annex their entire nation and crush the rival Cathari religion as well. A hero must persuade his compatriots to accompany him into the lungs of this fresh hell and save the bones of the Magdalene. But to reach them they must face corsairs of the Levant, evil Knights, mercenary soldiers with no goal other than rapine, pillage and murder, their old enemies the Satanists, their even worse enemy the Marquis of Aceldama, and a threat beyond this dimension and the imagination of any mortal -- the true foe of the Magdalene, the Crown Prince of Hell called Belphegor.
